Habarana Wild Life Safari was born from my deep love for Sri Lanka’s wildlife, nature and especially the magnificent elephants that roam the Cultural Triangle.
My name is Chathuranga, and I am a local safari guide based in Habarana. Growing up close to Minneriya, Kaudulla and Hurulu, I developed a strong connection with these forests, lakes and wildlife.
For me, a safari is more than simply spotting animals. It is about experiencing nature, understanding wildlife, respecting the environment and creating unforgettable memories.
Today, I proudly welcome travellers from around the world to explore Sri Lanka’s wild side through private, relaxed and carefully guided safari experiences.

Our Safari Jeep 🚙🐘
At Habarana Wild Life Safari, we use comfortable, well-maintained 4×4 safari jeeps designed for wildlife viewing. Raised seating gives you a clear view of the surroundings, while open sides provide excellent opportunities for photography and enjoying the fresh air. Each jeep has a canopy for protection from the sun and light rain. Our private jeep safaris give you your own vehicle and space, allowing you to enjoy the experience comfortably at your own pace. 🌿📸
